I just want to say that between yesterday and today, I have had one of the best days of my life. Between a wonderful day with learning as much as I can from talented, experienced funeral directors, we had one of the best nights ever at Orlean! We had great entertainment, food....holy crap! It was hopping!! Its almost too much happiness for me to take. And all of it is just steps towards my familys future. Wow. Actually, right now is June 1st and that is my 4 year anniversary of living in Virginia. Ive been hard on Virginia over the years, as we have not always seen eye to eye....between having to approach things in a more conservative ( reads traditional not necessarily any political affiliation ) manner, to something as simple, and to me inane, as scraping the stickers off of liquor bottles....I havent always understood why Virginia does things the way it does. But Virginia has taken very good care of me. Point blank. Between giving me the child, man-child and Campbells of my dreams, the hugely extended family I have been blessed with, the reconnection with my Iacovinos, not to mention the multiple dream jobs. ( read Moser, Orlean Market and of course, Griffin ) Seriously, I am so thankful. When people ask me what brought me up from Jacksonville Florida, I have to tell them how much of a fluke it was! How Christa talked me into it ( eh, whatevs props where props are due )David got me up here by the skin of both of our teeth, and people like Lorraine, Mary, Howie, Victor, Debbie, Butch, Wade, Katie, Strick....okay, you get the picture I hope? Well, all of these people greased the wheel, made it possible for me to progress and prosper here, build a life with my Jason, raise my beautiful little boy, Tolkien... Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart.
