I just want to thank everyone for all the lovely messages I have received since the accident. Since many of you have asked..tomorrow Im having the 1st of my reconstruction surgeries. The swelling has gone down enough for the surgeons to start inserting titanium plates into my face to repair the shattered bones. I have a 1 in 20 chance of going blind in the operation so I ask all of you to send good vibes my way before they operate at 2pm. I will be out of action for a while so if I dont reply please understand and just know that I appreciate everyone sending well wishes. I cant stress enough how important it is to wear your helmet tightly when riding your bike. It is the only reason Im alive to write this message. And the next time you hear a text on your phone while you are driving think of me and REMEMBER it only takes a split second while looking at the screen to kill someone on their bike. Its not worth it.
