I just wanted to pass along my thanks to all of you who shared your sympathy, kind words and prayers for my brother and our family. My nephew Bill was a unique, one-of-a-kind individual. My memories of him, stories about him, and adventures with him, are far too numerous, and potentially incriminating ;-) to share in this forum. Bill and I had not been as close the last few years as I would have liked us to be. Its no ones fault...things happen. Jobs, home, significant others, and so much more can cause you to drift apart in this sea of chaos we call responsibilities. Every time I saw Bill, I saw the Bill that I knew, no matter what the circumstance was. People grow, and change but...the core person is still there. Ive lost family and friends in my life...we all have. Though in no way does it tarnish their importance, some losses affect us more than others...and this loss has affected me deeply. We all have memories that are so strong, so powerful, so permanent, thats its hard to imagine any part of them being altered in any way. Of course the memories dont change, but we always assume that all the integral parts will be there, forever. So when one of those vital parts are taken from us, we get angry and confused...its not fair. We all have that one relative...the one that no matter how large or small our family might be, we are their favorite and they are ours. Bill was mine...and for the longest time, Id like to think, I was his...again, thank you all so much.
