I just wanted to take a moment and say Thank You to everyone for all of the birthday wishes. It means a lot to me that you all took the time from your busy lives to wish me a happy birthday, and I feel very blessed to have each and every one of you as my friend.…. “what does turning 40 mean to me? My thoughts of turning 40 were obsessing about losing my identity until I had a conversation with a wiser woman. This voice spoke, “You should feel privileged that you made it – many haven’t”. And you know…she is absolutely right. How many beautiful souls never get the opportunity to celebrate 40? I have a few dear friends that never made it to 40. So I would like to share with you that I do feel privileged to have turned 40 with many experiences behind me and in front of me. I am thankful to have graduated from college, travelled the world, survived my raging 20′s and 30s, continue to be a wonderful aunt to Madilyn and a godmother to Sienna, as well as an aunt to Gianna & Rocco, have a fabulous career, two wonderful parents and surrounded by the best family and friends, and now I am 40 with bravery rather than fear.
