I just watched a documentary on Netflix called Somm. It is about four men attempting to become Master Sommeliers. Over 50 took the Master Sommelier exam, but only six passed. One of those six said that since he is now a Master Sommelier, he now has to stay on top, he has to be a master at all times, he has to stay on top of his knowledge because people look at him in a different light. He is now a master. The same is true of becoming an Enrolled Agent. People look at us differently. Other tax pros look at us differently. We are the masters of the tax profession.
