I just went to get us a couple of shakes from Sonic. Does anyone out there remember when shakes had regular drink lids (no dome shapes), no cherry on top, no spoon, and no whip cream? Somehow when they started adding those four things the price seemed to double, almost overnight. Whoever thought of that is second only to the people who figured out that we would buy water in plastic bottles taken from taps halfway across the country. Some people are geniuses when it comes to separating people from their money. I dont even eat the cherry and the whip cream is worthless. I dont use the spoon unless it is too thick to go through the straw. And as for bottled water... I remember when there was only one brand and it was this nasty stuff called Perrier. But then again that wasnt really the same quality as this stuff we get that is straight from the Metro water works.
