I kid you not a land owner fights in court to cut their own timber - TopicsExpress

I kid you not a land owner fights in court to cut their own timber and God forbid harvesting timber from land owned (70% of Oregon) even after a major forest fire. There was huge fire there several years ago. A logging company wanted to harvest the downed and burned timber. It was salvageable and clearing it would have cleared off the tinder for the next fire. The logging company was sued and the case dragged through the court system until another fire in the same area destroyed what could have been harvested, providing jobs and tax revenue in the state. I would like to see the term "environmentalist" come to be considered no better than pond scum.
