I knew that my decision for Graduate School and a teaching career - TopicsExpress

I knew that my decision for Graduate School and a teaching career rather than a journalistic one was a great one when I saw this video of Humanist House sinking in the sands of San Franciscos El Camino del Mar neighborhood near Baker Beach. Glad to not be on board at that moment. My darkroom used both for the Humanist Magazine as well as House organ Free Mind was built in the basement and my office was on the second floor. Ouch. Happily, Roy Speckhardt is now President of the American Humanist Association which moved its headquarters from San Francisco to Buffalo, and later to present headquarters in Washington D.C. Prior moving to San Francisco, AHA was headquartered in Yellow Springs Ohio. I have been fortunate to meet all of the Executive Secretaries and Directors: Ed Wilson, Toby McCarroll, Keith Beggs, and Fred Edwords as well as Presidents Bette Chambers and Kurt Vonnegut.
