I know I am missing one or two that slipped my mind when I was writing these, but here are the rules of Engagement that is to the best of my memory. If anyone sees one that I missed or perhaps would like to suggest the addition of one, feel free to mention it here. Rules of engagements is a set of rules or a code of conduct really on how a roleplayer should act in order to remain respectful to one another Rules of Engagement At any point, respect among one another is highly recommended, and whether a fellow roleplayer is being disrespectful or not, do not resort to the same behavior. This is the situation where doing back onto others does not benefit the community. It only does harm to it. When in dispute with fellow roleplayers, resorting to blocking or banning the opposing roleplayer is frowned upon. This does not solve the problem that was contained in the dispute. This only hides it and creates ripples in the community among peers. When dealing with these sorts of situations, it is best to have them completely resolved, or to eliminate the situation by dropping the situation. Breaking the rules of roleplay is never acceptable in roleplay. Even if another roleplayer breaks the rules, cheating you out of your experience, it is not acceptable to issue a “golden rule” of which permits you to break the rules back at them. Breaking a rule is breaking a rule, and all roleplayers who choose to break the rules will be treated all the same. So, don’t do it. It’s not worth it. Never involve real life situations or information into the roleplay settings. Avoid any mentioning of real life situations or information in public roleplay settings. This is a means to protect your own identity as a person. An exception to this rule is if real life situations will hinder a roleplayers capacity to continue involvement in roleplay. If and when something in a roleplay is not clear, ask questions in regards to the roleplayer asking questions about their posted content. It is never okay to just assume information in a post. When a roleplayer issues a challenge to a combat based roleplay, terms of combat are to be discussed prior to the beginning of a match. Otherwise, the match will not be valid. An exception to this rule is if the roleplay will be in a specific group that holds a specific standard for roleplay combat. In the case that terms are not discussed, the group combat standards will be implemented on participating combat. In combat-based roleplay, it is common practice that for the roleplayer that challenges a fellow roleplayer, the challenger is the one to make the starter post. When responding to a roleplay starter, it is important that distance or relation to a landmark or the opponent is important. Otherwise this leaves the opposing roleplayer uncertain of your distance to appropriately respond. During the time of war in roleplay, all participants of the war are exempt from the means of being blocked or banned from all participating members and groups. Only under the circumstance of an unruly roleplayer involved can be banned or blocked. However, the unruly roleplayer can be banned or blocked under the circumstances that the leaders of all participating factions agree that said participant might be banished. Should this rule be broken, the breaker of the rule will be subject to forfeiting the war. When challenging a fellow roleplayer to a combat based roleplay, it is the equivalent to creating a contract. Once everything is agreed to, and all participants have posted, it becomes a binding contract. The contract made between all participants to the combat based roleplay are not binidng till all roleplayers have posted. A roleplayers post is considered recognition and acceptance of the contract, including the rules and regulations the fight will be fought with. The post of a roleplayer is equal to the roleplayers signature to the contract. Terms of roleplays act as contracts among all participants, whether it is a fight or a war. Which means the consequences of breaching contract in roleplay is similar to that of breaking a contract in any other situation. In any combat situation ever, breaking a combat based contract intentionally is subjecting the rule breaker to forfeit upon being found guilty.
