I know I have posted this before but it bares posting AGAIN... God is calling His people back to their FIRST LOVE by seeking His face and no longer seeking His HAND. We have been hearing His desire for us to SEEK Him. The people need to see the LEADERS (pastors, elders and ministers) at the altar crying out to The Lord as Joel talked about! When they see the leaders doing this then they will come. Well I pray at home but in Acts you see them in ONE place on ONE accord! Be blessed pastor as you and the church SEEK HIS FACE. The church here in America has been doing too much of seeking Gods HAND (things, miracles, signs and wonders, getting something FROM God) versus seeking Gods FACE (HIM and HIM alone!) I have somewhat against thee, you have left your first love Song of Solomon gives us a picture of the type of LOVE we are supposed to have for Jesus. That LOVE we had when we FIRST got saved! That woman in Song of Solomon was INTOXICATED by her love! NOW, we have MANY other LOVERS that we are chasing now JUST LIKE Gomer in the book of Hosea! Hosea is a book I think pastors and leaders should be reading NOW as it speaks of where we are as a church here in America. In the book of Hosea it says that God said to Israel that He would bring them back into the wilderness (the place where they had NOTHING but Him) and away from their other lovers/idols and then would they love Him again. He went on to tell them that it was when they were in the wilderness that they loved Him. Could it be that God is allowing these needs in our lives to draw us back into that passionate love relationship with Him!? Are we seeking His HAND(provision, things, finances, miracles, signs and wonders etc) or are we SEEKING HIM!! Lord help us! You SO DESIRE us to seek YOU!! I humbly ask you to evaluate the things we are asking prayer for. Are we seeking HIS face/HIM or are we seeking His HAND (do this God, do THAT God, move here God, bless THIS God etc.) HE WANTS US TO WANT HIM!! He is calling us back to HIM our FIRST LOVE! I find it interesting that the church of Laodicea had Jesus standing on the OUTSIDE knocking! Jesus said where two are three are gathered in His name there would I be in the midst! That tells me that THAT church didnt even have two people that were IN THERE gathered in His name!! What were they doing!? Are we doing church yet He is not in the midst? Would we even know if HE were there or not? Obviously that church didnt know HE was not in their midst.
