I know I personally have a BM (and an ex husband) like the one our next Bonus Mom is dealing with. What are your thoughts and suggestions on how she should handle her?... Brief back story: after years of verbal abuse and constant lying, DH only communicates with BM in writing. After she began claiming for the third time this year that she wasnt getting DHs emails, DH found a website similar to Our Family Wizard and theyve been using that since. DH sent BM a copy of a stipulation saying theyd communicate exclusively through the site unless there was an emergency with the kids, would check the site daily and would reply to messages as currently required by the court order. After 2+ weeks, BM said she wanted wording changed and would then sign it; DH asked five separate times and has yet to learn what wording she wants changed. Last month, BM sent a message through the site at almost 8pm saying she needed SSs social security number because the deadline for health insurance through her work was the following day. Half an hour later, she texts DH and says she needs the number. DH goes online, replies that she already has SSs number in her divorce paperwork and hes not comfortable sending it over the Internet. The next morning, BM replied and said Still dont have (SSs) number. Not sure what will happen. Just yesterday, she called him and left him a message saying she needs a copy of SSs birth certificate to get health insurance for him. Says the deadline is 12/27 and she needs to fax it in; says shell pay for the copy and drive up here if she needs to (Its a 70+ mile trip, one way. We have a fax machine.) Personally, I say she can wait. Its Christmas weekend; we cant drop everything to find a birth certificate, make a copy of it and arrange to meet with her. I also dont understand how the deadline for her insurance went from 11/26 to 12/27. This is not the first time shes pulled this, The deadline for my insurance is tomorrow, I need the information now. Feedback?
