I know almost everyone has heard this story a thousand times, but - TopicsExpress

I know almost everyone has heard this story a thousand times, but today is a good day to repeat it. One busy Saturday night at Wherehouse Music on Geary, I was ringing up Robin Williams for a bunch of CDs. The man had amazing and eclectic taste in music, but generally preferred latin jazz and british hip hop. He really loved Fun Lovin Criminals, a fact that I continue to find a little strange... In the middle of his order, a horrendously rude woman pushed Robin aside and said, EXCUSE ME, BUT CAN ANYBODY HELP ME FIND WHERE DREAMS MAY COME. Mr Williams, calmly and gently said to me- Hold on sir, Ill take this woman to her movie. The woman was quite red faced, and very apologetic. Robin Williams was a class act. He was also great when he came into the store. He allowed fans to come up to him, and he was always gracious. Every San Franciscan has great stories about him, and when he sat behind me at a comedy show once, he remembered me as the music store clerk and said hello. There wasnt an egotistical bone in his body, despite being one of the most talented men in the history of entertainment. Even if he wasnt one of the most famous men in the world, I would say that it was a honor to have met this person. He gave nothing but respect to every human he encountered, even the homeless guy that panhandled in front of the store. A bonafide awesome dude was lost today.
