I know everybody has been waiting for my own first personal PSA as a New Thunder Mom but this isnt just any ordinary PSA. It has taken me a while to collect my thoughts but brace yourself cuz here it is.. Youve seen the feeds or heard the news!! Yess! My baby gurl is a Thunder Girl! With words, I could never express how proud I am of this girl right here! Elated, overjoyed, excited, nervous,, aint even enough words to explain how I feel. Starting with the calm call to tell me she made Finals last Sat., up to me walking in the room and seeing this pic scroll on the jumbo screen, all the way to every time she hit the stage, it has been some kind of special! Man o man! I can only thank God for giving her what she has and for her success this far! At breakfast this morning, it hit me..this is really happening! The tears came because I know for her to win, I will be taking a loss but I satisfied with that because Monique is destined for something great n not because I said so, because God said so! I cant begin to tell u the battles, the injuries, the challenges shes faced up to this point but Im grateful, just so grateful she has persevered! What the devil has meant for bad, God meant for good! If is told u the story about yesterdays final announcement u wouldnt believe me but Baybeee (in Leslie Smiths voice lol) as Whitney put it..they saved the best for last! I really have so much to be thankful and I am grateful for so many ppl who have been in her corner along the way. I could go on n on but I will just end this by saying I am n will always be #TeamMonique. #4EverProud
