I know from the viewpoint of atheist, communist, non-believers, progressives, and so on, that they love it when someone who professes to be a Christian falters or sins and its found out. Every human being that has ever lived has had to contend with a sinful, natural flesh. Even the Saved amongst us is just a sinner saved by Grace. Everybodys a sinner (except innocent children,) so those I mentioned above are being unrealistic in their argument of expecting anyone to live a perfect life. Christianity says to be as Godlike as possible, a perfect goal, but one that cannot fully be implemented in this life. Thats what Heaven will be, but that will never exist on Earth. That is not possible, which is why Socialism and Communism are great lies. They promise you can have heaven on earth. It will never be because there is sin in the world. Nothing Perfect involves sin. But I would remind you of this...the Bible talks comparing men to trees at certain points. We are told that you can witness the fruit that a tree bears, referring to humans, and see that it is good or evil. We have reason; let Us use it, individually and collectively.
