I know its long, but Im so grateful this year!!!! I hope everyone has a beautiful Thanksgiving today, full of love and gratitude. This has been one amazing year, and I have so much to be grateful for. My health, necessities, and lifes purpose. This is my first year having Thanksgiving in my own home! Thanks to some hard work, and the encouragement and support of our parents, Felix and I were able to make this dream a reality. Im grateful because in less than a year, my business has grown quickly: I was cast in Opera Santa Barbara, got other gigs, and met my yearly goal for new students a couple months ago. Felix accompanied for all the colleges, the opera and started his DMA program at UCSB. This is so comforting to know that the community has welcomed us as new musicians, and we are enjoying working with them so much. The neighborhood is awesome: Riverpark rocks! God knew we were supposed to live here. I love running Scamp around, the parks, the neighbors, and watching new stores open every day just blocks from our house. I was just nominated and voted in to serve as Secretary/Treasurer on our Neighborhood Council, and I cant wait to help serve this community even more! Then, we met the dogs at the Canine Adoption and Rescue League. We saw a need and met some other amazing volunteers (Alise Ranck, Mike Klee, Lynne Clark Bohney, Kathy A King and others!) that took the time to listen and support our ideas to make a difference! We are enjoying helping the dogs get forever homes! We even got to travel a bit! We were able to go to Germany for Scarlett Eisenhauer and Daniel Craig Bowden wedding. While in Europe, I got to see 2 of my best friends: Laurel Kennedy and Jessica Hemley. I got to go to the Oregon Coast for my Grandmas 80th birthday bash( Betty Royer), see my other sisters Sage Cara and Traci Emerson. And, camping with my mom, Cathy Smith and sister Amber Smith early fall in Montana de oro was so great. Im so thankful! Im grateful for the new people and friends I have met in Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Oxnard. There are too many to name. But, I am so glad to have made a connection with people that I have things in common with! And, Im glad I am able to reconnect with other friends that are in the LA area now! Lastly, Im so grateful for my little immediate family, Felix Eisenhauer and Scamp. Now that we have settled into our home as a married couple, its an honor to know what two becoming one means. I have the best husband a girl could dream of: strong, brilliant, handy, talented, so kind, compassionate, understanding, and handsome. How did I get so lucky? Scamp brings us so much joy and love. I am the most blessed woman on the planet I think!
