I know its thanksgiving and Im extremely thankful for a lot. But Im also tired. Just plain exhausted. Disgusted. Of people and their never ending quest for stuff. Their stuff is classified exactly as such because it has no clear definition, it represents nothing in a way that I can begin to comprehend. This goes beyond materialistic belongings, the money, the fancy cars, the 70 inch LCD TVs and the keeping up with the Joness life style so many people dream about. This has more to do with ones desire to influx hatred and animosity, to stir envy and send the disease of condemning to hell anybody who doesnt seem to agree with or stand on the same platform as themselves. The irrationalities, the venom in slander, the way people can take pride, yes take pride, in allegations brought against someone else, and continue to add fuel to the fire- thats the cool thing in todays, what have you done for me lately, way of life. This goes beyond whats happening in Ferguson. This goes much deeper. This is everywhere. People enjoy power, people are insatiable to power lust (to put it modestly) and ill be damned if I say that I am not tired of it, again, Im tired. Should you walk down the street and encounter ten, no make that five people; chances are, they are guilty of getting off on the fixation of black mail, power over someone else, even fabricating a past with lies and debris stacked high in their minds to the very point that they themselves forget what they started. They do more than believe their lies, they become obsessed. It becomes more than a way of life, rather constant aroused confrontation is their life. Today for thanksgiving, I gave thanks and I meant it. I care for those around me, I pray for a better world, I work hard for a chance to live a promising life in our world, and Im healthy. So are those I love. But people Im also really tired.
