The week we visited, they had also aided a seagull (yes, a completely annoying bird) who was trying to steal the dolphins fish. It turned out the seagulls mouth was filled with fishing hooks and fishing line so it couldnt eat. SeaWorld vets brought the animal in, put it under anesthesia, and removed the hooks and line, then ultimately released the bird. Many people probably dont care much for seagulls, but to SeaWorld, it was an animal in distress that just needed help.
