I know most of you are extremely nit picky with your groms maintenance, which is good. Im a wrench at a local Yamaha dealer in AZ and Ive had 3 people approach me with blown up groms looking for rebuild estimates now. All 3 gave similar descriptions. Lots of wide open long distance riding. Engines burn oil. Even brand new off the show room floor they will burn oil, its just how it is. High rpm burns oil quicker. None of the people were mechanically inclined to understand my explanation but I know you guys are. All you 800 mile oil change guys keep it up. Those groms will take a beating when cared for properly.
