I know our rescue blog girl did a beautiful Fathers Day write up with all the pics of the fathers in the rescue and I know I am a month late, but my husband he amazes me every day and I just have to say something even tho he is not even on FB. Maybe because I dont tell him enough, but I believe he truly has no idea how amazing he really is - just always the silent guy in the shadows holding three dogs, getting paper towels, unloading the truck... and I know he is not the only one because you know what I think is pretty cool about our rescue? Yes its mostly girls and we do a really good job and yes you see us all the time on here working hard to save dogs which we all know is a HUUUUGE task (thank you for supporting us!) but what you dont see is about 100 good guys supporting our crazy asses. I have actually personally known our founders BF since day one and he is a bad ass dude with a huge heart and sometimes I think he is craziest of us all for still being here with us! LOL. Lets be honest, thank God most girl pit rescuerss husbands and boyfriends are not Mr. Brady even though some may look like it. They have the heart of a lion inside, brave enough to be with us! I can actually name about 10 good guys right now in this rescue that would do ANYTHING for their wives and girlfriends. My husband personally has done probably 30 home visits, so many transports, countless vet drop offs or pick-ups for me as well as setting up events. All i have to do is ask. But it goes further than that. We all know not everyone loves pits and this man goes so far as to bring his two beautiful people-loving (as is usually the case!) rescued personal pits with rescue cards in hand ready to educate any one open to it or maybe on the fence about rescued pits and their sad plight. They call him the pit bull guy at our local 7-11 LOL!! I guess my point is, these guys have all watched us (and helped) us girls day in and day out struggle to be caring supportive regular women AND successful dog rescuers....for years. There is no break....for us nor them . Lets not even mention that not a one of us can even see the end of the rainbow yet here we all still stand together fighting the good fight. Its probably why they choose to stay with us because we are a pretty amazing bunch of people all together. We may spend their money, wreck their homes and spend a whole lotta time with bruisers (of the dog version), I know my husband would support and defend me and what I do till the day he takes his last breath for me AND FOR THE DOGS and I absolutely love him for that. Thanks babe. Any of my other girls have a hub like that?
