I know so many of you are waiting to hear how this years build a bear party went. I apologize I havent posted before now, but we have had several set backs. Low and behold though we are ready to deliver today. :-) The party went very very well this year. We had so many more people personally show and build bears. It was an incredible feeling to see so many people in line building, dressing and loving these bears!! Though we had a great turn out, I knew we wouldnt have the numbers we did the last 2 years. With my family just returning from Disney a few weeks before, I just wasnt able to put the time into the event like I normally do. So though I would have loved more, I am so excited to say we had 414 teddy bears this year!! Thats 414 children that you will make smile this Christmas!! If that doesnt give you chills, I dont know what will. With that being said, we will fulfill our original goal which is to get 250 bears to Childrens Hospital!!! That alone fills my heart! We will divide the rest amongst the Oncology Clinic, Ronald McDonald House, local Foster children, and several families in need!!!! As always, you all leave me speechless. The people that I have never met that reach out and offer donations, those of you who come every year, the staff at build a bear, my family and friends ...... How have I been so blessed?! There is no way in heaven that I could ever do this alone. There is also no way this event would go round without all of you. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart! Get ready because next yearbw are going to exceed our biggest drams!! Merry Christmas!!! Xo
