I know sometimes I post about certain sensitive topics, mainly those involving race. It had been brought to my attention that some people may feel that I may be a little racist myself, which couldnt be further from the truth. I post these things because America and Americans have been infected with a disease that has been passed down from generation to generation, racism. Now if we dont take it upon ourselves to erradicate this element in American society, it will never cease. Problems like these simply do not go away. They hide and re emerge so much stronger than before. If history has taught us nothing, you should understand that. Those who simply refuse to see it as a problem only help its cause by living in denial of truths that many of us face daily. So you want to say its a non issue, I definitely beg to differ. The racial climate in this country is almost where it was in the 50s, 60s, and early 70s. All of this tension will come to a head and this country will implode if this issue is not addressed. Majority of this new found hatred came forth after President Obama was sworn into office. Say its not the cause and I will definitely call you a liar. Those who are so used to power cant adapt or accept when its temporarily not theirs. I am a black man, I have been called all sorts of names, mistreated by authority figures, and judged all because of the color of my skin. So tell me, how can it be called race baiting if the hook never left the water? How can you tell me racism is not relevant in America if you have not walked in my shoes? I will keep attention focused where it needs to be focused along with many other causes, not because Im a black male, but because I have children that I am supposed to protect. This is my duty. If you dont like it, feel free to remove yourself from my friends list and my life. It wont bother me at all.
