I know that 75% of my friend list think Im a horrible turn cloak liberal and the remainder see me as a republican apologist, but heres the deal: I am sick and fracking tired of ambush style politics. Every other post on my newsfeed is about how awful democrats are or conservatives are selling america to big business. I get it. Youre passionate about your beliefs. I am too! Guess what, though? Plastering a fake Obama was born in Kenya story to your Facebook time after time isnt going to get him impeached. And reminding me how stupid G.W. was doesnt change the fact that he was president for 8 years. Empathy is probably the most vitally important attribute a person can have. And when youre spewing extremist BS from either side of the isle you are lacking empathy. Try to imagine how people who oppose you feel and reason with them as human beings!! Or mock them with satirical viral videos and half-assed research, cause, ya know, that will definitely convince them to take you seriously.
