I know that, at this point in the game, very few of you actually know who Aster was, so the impact of Saturday night was limited to a few old-timers. For anyone who is interested, though, I thought I would give you a little look into the mind of Daedirith Aurelloth Aster Amarthanmanadh of the Radolond Tribe. Whether she was researching a way to fix your latest problem, yelling at Dans Swordmaker for not letting her read the ritual *first*, getting her heart cut out by the Coatl, or being the first to befriend Hope, Asters life was never boring. She knew more about the creepy shit life throws at you than anyone else -- with lores ranging from the mundane Lore: Demons and Lore: Fey to the more esoteric Lore: The Mists and Lore: Supernatural Fauna of Tear (the official designation for the crazy shit that comes out of Garretts head, which was what I asked for), there was very rarely a question she couldnt answer given a little time and logic -- but she knew almost nothing about being a decent person before she arrived in Solace. It took a ranger sacrificing his noble titles for the safety of Solace to teach her about duty and loyalty, an Inquisitor to teach her that people really can change and grow (and age!), and a Loremaster to teach her how to really understand love. I thought I had said goodbye to her two years ago, content in knowing that she had finally learned to care for a good greater than herself and her pursuit of knowledge. One of the last things she saw before taking up the chains that close the Rift was a family reunion: Allerm comforting his wife and child, while Corvus met his parents for the first time. If she had still had enough of herself left to see that it was Allerm taking up the chains, she couldnt have borne it.
