I know that this isnt going to be popular. So many of us think nothing about allowing our children to watch these movies... after all, we grew up watching many of them ourselves. But, this video makes me think pretty deeply about what I allow into the minds of my children (the blessings that God has entrusted to me). I dont say this as a judgement to anyone who is okay with these movies, but more of a wake up call to our senses. This world is glad to desensitize us. It is glad to pollute our minds, and the minds of our children, for its own agenda. We see it happening more and more. Sometimes it is even hard to remove ourselves from it, as we enjoy it so much. Our kids are quiet and happy when they are watching thier favorite movie (every busy moms dream lol). But what message are we allowing into thier impressionable minds? What damage are we doing to them without even realizing it? Do we shrug it off as silliness or overreacting that these things are present in the films (they are there... take a look for yourself... you might be shocked), or do we do the more difficult thing and take a closer look at what we place before our eyes and the eyes of our precious little ones? These kinds of things make me want to get creative and figure out how to bring truth to our kids in a more meaningful way. We have such talented Christians in this world who are capable of creating fun and exciting things for our kids to enjoy. But it all starts with a culture change. Nothing changes unless we change. The norm continues if we allow it to invade us. Our children are more important and deserve better than what this world has to offer them. #GodsChildrenDeserveBetter
