I know the last thing anyone wants to see on Facebook is another complaint or negative topic - and I dont like being one to complain…in fact Im even doing a Bible study about that very topic. But the study also encourages you to DO something about what you are complaining about rather than just complain alone. So here it goes. The Sonic in Sonora is terrible. Judd and I have said we will never go back numerous times, but every once in awhile we get a desire for one of those yummy ice cold beverages, and we try again. Mind you - there are just two of us, usually just ordering two drinks. And they SELDOM if EVER get our order right. We order one cherry coke and one plain coke, and they will both end up with cherry in them. One time I ordered a cherry coke and got some weird raspberry tea concoction. This sort of thing has happened over and over again. Not to mention how long you have to wait to simply order and then actually receive your order. Again - this is usually just for two drinks! And what happened to putting cherries in the cherry flavored drinks? I never get cherries anymore… Anyway the last time was probably several weeks ago when we said NEVER again. But yesterday I was craving a drink and didnt feel like cooking so Judd said he would just get something to eat, too. So after waiting for awhile to order after pushing the button, it is finally our turn. Judd orders a #2 with fries and a large coke. The girl interrupts to ask if he wants mustard or mayo and he says both. She then asks him fries or tots? Let me say that again for emphasis - SHE THEN ASKS HIM FRIES OR TOTS? And he again specifies french fries. I heard him loud and clear both times - he wanted fries with his meal. I ordered onion rings, a grilled cheese, and my drink. So after waiting another several minutes, our order comes out. The drinks are right - but there are no fries! Judd catches the car hop to ask about the fries and turns out she is the same girl who took our order. Her response was Did you specify you wanted fries? YES. Did you say you wanted a combo, because you have to say combo. Judd tells her I ordered a #2 with fries - isnt that ordering the combo? Her answer Well you have to say fries. I told her He said fries twice, I heard him. Her answer, now even more rude, Well did I read it back to you when you placed the order? Judd looks at me like - is she for real? She was more or less implying that it was OUR fault they didnt give us our fries. Judd just tells her again, I ordered fries and I would like some fries. She says okay - implying that she was gonna get him some fries. So we wait, for SEVERAL more minutes, watching the girl coming in and out, never even glancing our direction again. Finally Judd pushes the button. This time a guy responds. Judd tells him what was going on and then THIS guy says the same thing - It shows you ordered onion rings on my ticket. Judd says, Yes, but I ordered fries with my combo. The guy responds, again implying it is our fault. So apparently the girl had no intentions of ever bringing us our fries as she had implied. I guess she was just gonna let us sit there, forever waiting. Judd tells him that this kind of thing always happens and that he would like his fries. Finally the guy says he will send some out. The girl brings out a bag and rudely says, Here you go with a smirk on her face. I look in the bag - it is half filled order of small fries. Judd was so mad, but we just drove off and this time agreed that NEVER AGAIN was really truly gonna be NEVER AGAIN. I know this is a petty complaint among many things wrong with our world today. But someone really needs to address this issue. Im surprised they are even able to stay open for business if this is how other people are treated as well. The customer service is the worst Ive ever experienced. There is the occasional exception with one or two employees, but it is never consistent. If anyone knows who specifically I should send this complaint to, I would appreciate the info., as I want to DO something about it and not just complain, and I do have the girls name and a description of her that I would gladly share with the manager. But for now, I figured this was a good start. Thanks for listening!
