I know the tragedy in the Philippines is awful and understand people wanting to help, however what i find really sad is that whilst at my local doctors in what is considered an affluent village plastered across the wall is a huge notice saying that this gps surgery holds food bank vouchers which can be exchanged for food for those in need, i just wonder how much help could go into our own local communitys if people donated £10 or even £1 to help the old the disabled the underprivileged at home instead of abroad i know people will criticize and scorn at what i have said turning me into some kind of internet troll but the truth is we have to start helping our own before we look elsewhere, its disgusting that people are going without food or heat and for some a roof over their heads yet we give to others and not our own.
