I know their heart is in the right place but Im sorry, this isnt helping. Providing meals at schools is not sustainable. This isnt water and food independence, this isnt freedom. More charitable organizations need to adopt a teach a man to fish mentality so people can stand on their own. Freedom isnt depending on charity to live, freedom isnt have your one cash crop fall to disease and entire communities starve. Cultivate the land, teach farming, provide non-gmo seeds so they can control their own harvest, install a system (not a disposable, one time thing) that creates access to clean water and teach the locals how to manage it on their own. A true success story is when people no longer need your help, the goal is to put yourself out of a job.
