I know this is Harness Racing, but its Im sure of interest to some here: The International Trot, once the most important race in ALL of Harness Racing is returning to Yonkers Raceway this October, a year earlier than originally planned: xwebapp.ustrotting/absolutenm/templates/article.aspx?articleid=61026&zoneid=63 The first International in 19 years will take place October 25 at Yonkers on a night that will also feature the Yonkers Trot and Messenger, the final legs of the Triple Crowns of Trotting and Pacing respectively. The International was contested at Roosevelt Raceway from 1959 through 1987 before Yonkers took it over shortly after Roosevelt closed for good weeks before the 1988 summer-fall meet at Roosevelt was to begin.
