I know this is long but at least watch the first four minutes. As someone who has followed this ministry for a number of years now and has actually read their writings I have to say this article against them floating around the past few days needs to stop. There arent quotations in the article because the author isnt quoting the book! Every claimed to be in the Pearls book is not in the book. The book was found among many other books in one domestic assault case this year and this most recent one in the article floating around the book was never found in the house but some neighbors thought they might follow the Pearls. The Pearls do stand in favor of spanking but nothing beyond that and in itself doesnt warrant the reaction people are having to the Pearls this past year. By people who have never read the book. They have raised five beautiful children who love their parents are in healthy marriages with children of their own and businesses of their own. They havent parted ways with their parents like people with horrible childhoods do, they spend time with their parents and in their own ministries, facebook pages, blogs, writings, etc... continually talk about how much they love their parents and are thankful to them. This ministry has meant something special to me over the years, mostly because of Debbie Pearls book Help Meet, and it really upsets me to see the lies that are being spread when no one has even read it. Know what youre talking about before you set out to destroy something.
