I know this is probably a super late review, but yea.. wanted to drive with it to fully feel how much it helps. So first up, big thanks to Driveway Labs again for the awesome Type 1 and shipping. *Just want to add, my car is bone stock, except intake.* I first received the Type 1 back in July and let me tell you, the thing was really light!! And then quickly installed it the following week. Install is really easy, but having a hoist is best. First initial impression, you can definitely feel the drag is reduced. Tested at 60km/h, 100km/h, 140km/h and then at 200km/h. Other than reduction of drag, straight line stability was also increased. Also helped with my fuel economy, as I take the highway to work. Of course a diffuser isnt only limited to help on highways, but on circuits as well. Luckily there was still time to do a few track days before winter season hits. First track I went to was at Shannonville Motorsport Park, fabi circuit. Although its not a high speed course, the Type 1 was still holding the rear end still. A couple of months pass by, and I was at Grand Bend Motorplex before changing her into winter mode. This course is much higher paced than Shannonville, so I thought this will truly test out the Type 1. Am I surprised? More like, I knew it was going to be like at Shannonville, but much, much better. On the Back straight, our cars can reach 161km/h stock. During that time, cars feels planted and not wandering. Inspiring confidence on every lap. Stated above are my pros with the Type 1, now on to the cons. I have the JDM tips and both contact each other and vibrate, But not some foam tape cant fix. Also, my stock mid pipe does vibrate against the leading edge of the Type 1, but only during really cold starts. On track days with the stock catback, after a session, you can really feel the heat radiating into the cabin. Thats all I can think of for cons. Anyways, sorry for the long post. But hope you guys enjoyed reading. Picture is from the time at Grand Bend, photo credit goes to Jason Tran.
