I know this is way off topic, but I hope yall will forgive me. Following an incident over a week ago (in which he was not actually involved, but made a necessary decision), our police chief here in Pierce City, Mike Abramovitz, faces a pretty tough meeting tomorrow evening. The incident involved a pretty sensitive subject, and I can understand why some people are upset, not knowing all the details as I do. Trust me when I say he did the only thing he could have, in the situation, and that the perpetrator did not walk away. He was arrested at the time, and, the last I was aware, is in jail where he belongs. Our little town has been extremely lucky to have Chief Abramovitz. Because of him, the residents of Pierce City feel safe, but never harassed. He has lead our police force through some pretty tough situations, and I continue to trust his judgement and support him. Please join me tomorrow (Monday, July 7) at 6:15, in front of City Hall to show our support for our Chief as the Board of Aldermen arrive for the closed meeting to be held at 7 p.m. This will be a PEACEFUL show of support. You are welcome to bring signs. Thanks!!!
