I know this probably isnt the way to start off the New Year but I - TopicsExpress

I know this probably isnt the way to start off the New Year but I have something on my chest and if I dont get it off I feel like I might explode. Its hurtful to talk about because of the situation but also because I know I will be re-hashing some feelings for some folks and I apologize for that but I have kept pretty cool (with a couple of hiccups) in dealing with it and staying quiet. I cant anymore, I shouldnt have to. So, read on: The very first civilian friend I made in Virginia was an amazing woman named Tammie. She was wild!! She was fun, smart, enthusiastic and had been a friend of my Honeys for years before we met. She and I hit it off. She reminded me of someone who couldve come from Dogpatch, we were like-minded and our personalities clicked. I was so glad to have finally made a good friend! Well, Tammies life was cut short when an accident occurred. she was with a much younger guy that she had strong feelings for. Everyone was skeptical of his intentions. Anywho, it is STILL UNCLEAR who was driving but she was ejected from the vehicle and was found a short distance from the side of the road, sitting in an upright position. Anyone who knows Tammie knows she didnt like driving other peoples vehicles, but whatever, no one knows who was driving. The guy involved is named John L. He was found hours later asleep in a vehicle parked (I believe ) over a mile from the accident, suffering a broken leg. He admits to being in the accident, wont admit he was driving but it is also obvious that HE LEFT THE SCENE OF THE ACCIDENT. Tammie died alone on the side of the road that day because HE LEFT HER. An autopsy was not performed but reports say that she had very little external injuries. Would she have lived if he had stayed and used one of the TWO CELL PHONES with them? Who knows, because HE LEFT! Now Johns leg is healed, hes back to work and enjoying the company of some of Tammies other so-called friends. He has never been charged with anything, not even leaving the scene of a deadly accident. Can CO and VA laws be that much different that something similar can happen here (such as when we first moved to Pueblo) and the guy get charged before theyve even caught him? I dont get it. I dont get a lot of it. How is that he hasnt faced ANY charges? How is that he is able to be out and about, enjoying his DRINKS back in Old Towne and everyone there who knew and loved Tammie are now serving him? Waiting on him!! Taking his money!! Like nothing ever happened? Ive already had a couple of the locals in Old Towne delete me because I mentioned it before and Im prepared to lose more. Then I know that you might, in some way have a conscience because the truth hurts. Youre greedy and would rather take that guys money than remember what happened to Tammie. He comes from some well to-do family, has money and blah blah blah. He still should have AT LEAST been charged with leaving the scene of a deadly accident, but nope. Yet, look. Heres the article from the accident here in Pueblo where the guy was charged BEFORE they even captured him. John L. doesnt seem to have a conscience. He goes around to the same places, drinking, laughing, with all the same people. These people enable him. Disgusting!!! Whew!! Glad I got that out there!!! I need some help moving on and letting that go. The mere mention of his name makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. I need some resolve or some shit. I think a few of us do... Curious about your thoughts... what do you think? kktv/home/headlines/Man-Wanted-in-Connection-to-Deadly-Hit-and-Run-263314601.html Are the laws that different in VA?
