I know what its like to be a traveler in an unfamiliar place. To experience the weariness of the closing of a long strenuous journey. I know what its like to be headed for a promised land youve never seen, at times afraid to go forward, but refusing to go back. I know what its like to be unsure of whats ahead, apart from Christ himself. To be hungry and thirsty, then sustained with just enough. I can more easily relate to some of what Abraham, Sarah, Moses, David and others called from one state or place of being to another. To flee with promises from a God who cannot fail; promises that will sustain you when you meet famine and war along the way. Its hard to understand when we have no revelation of how serious destiny is. When our concept of divine connection is about financial increase and business opportunities instead of souls. Pricilla, Aquila, and Paul were all tent makers, but its clear they met for Kingdom sake. My family has not had a church home in nearly a year. Ive cried out for the family of believers on a mission to truly meet needs in this city and world that isnt about glorifying ourselves and being on books and banners. Thats not to say that doesnt exist in many places, but my husband and I were being led to something we had never seen. We werent looking for the most excellent ministry we could find, we were on assignment to study, pray, and wait for safe passage to the book of Acts church. A place where no one man or woman is exalted but leaders are mutually submitted. A place where the Holy Spirit leads and man surrenders control. A place where people are not members, but family. A place where prayer is a part of the culture. A place where there is liberty. A place where missions locally, nationally, and internationally are priority. We burn with a desire to truly be like Jesus in our time spent on this earth; something that has to be encouraged and intentionally cultivated in a personal way.... This may seem small or unimportant to some, but it seems its taken a portion of a lifetime to breath again since we were called to leave. God did what He promised, safe passage. I have never been more excited for church in the morning in my life. To live is Christ, to die is gain, and nothing in between will ever separate our family from the One who called us to such a glorious hope in the first place. God Im so grateful...
