I know you may have already seen this posted but man! The Dallas Summer Musical Awards have nominated WHS Musical.... Hairspray for Best Musical. It also received nominations for Best Orchestra, Best Director and one performer nominated as well and that is Will Stephens. Folks....this is huge! Good look to all of Hairspray....this was a labor of love! Thanks also to parents who made this happen with incredible support and sacrifice! They even through the most remarkable cast party for them over the weekend and I was moved by the team spirit that is still there and when that DJ played the Hairspray music those kids went right back into character and performed the routines right there. It was special and the parent support off the chart and the kids recognized Mrs. Engstrom for her leadership role in making this happen. I am so proud to be a part of this school. It is AHMOsome!
