I like hidden messages. i could tell you to your face this and that, but you wouldnt believe me because youd look at my shoes or my car (which i dont have because i prefer public transit which is a whole nother story ill tell you about later) But, i do like to entertain people and make them happy. So, heres Teen Titans with a message about leadership. I just thought this was a perfect example on what and what not to do. Heres the full episode. Notice Robin a lil over the top with his methods, but he wants to be a leader. He WANTS to be a leader even though he already is. Raven tries to compare him to what she thinks is a true leader, George Washington. Isnt it like some people to not even recognize your full potential. They try to compare you and your efforts to someone else just because of how shiny that other person looks. I mean, Washington did some grimey ish, too. No one is perfect. But, Robin still rises to the challenge to prove his worth and goes to the extreme and fights the first President of the United States, George Washington! How many of you would go to the extreme just for some George Washingtons - some dollar dollar bills, yo? Would you alienate your friends? Would you go over the top just to be better than someone. Do you care more about yourself than others just to win? Do you just want the money? Think of this too. How far would you go ....to be a leader? Would you do what it takes in public and behind the scenes. Despite what you go through in private and in the mind, can you still show up willing to command. Willing to serve? Could you put in the long hours making the videos, editing the pictures, studying the material, preparing the speeches, meanwhile your friends are all sitting on the couch waiting for you to do something for them? AND THEN, when its time for ceremony and celebration... where are they? Do they even care? At the end, even though Robin did what he did, he still had to go through what George went through. He was just more creative at it. Do you, stay humble, keep uplifting people, uplift yourself, smile, hang with like-minded people, keep grinding and everything will land in your lap.
