I like how non-tech marketing people (who really dont give a clue) - TopicsExpress

I like how non-tech marketing people (who really dont give a clue) like inventing all these new terms like Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, etc. I have WiFi-enabled scales in my bathrom for the last 3+ years (FitBit Area), and wear sensors on me for at least 7-8+ years (Garmin Forerunner, FitBit, other step counters), including and not limited to HP iPAQ in 2003, HTC Touch Diamond in 2008, other cell phones, plus having at least 20+ IP-enabled devices (TVs, SIP Phones, Consoles...... I dont get the Cloud Computing (Ive been doing web-services before Cloud COmputing was invented), neither I get the Internet of Things (I had it all well before someone coined that term...). To me its all pretty much just a regular part of my life, so whoever invents a new term, like Internet of Fridges, Internet of Stoves, Internet of IP-enabled Shoes, Internet of Thermal Pants, Internet of Dogs, Internet of Cats.... so tired of all this crap.... Cloud Architect or Internet of Things Professional, how about Certified IP-Enabled Fridge Installer or Web-Based Shoe Administrator, or Certified Dynamic Voltage and Frequency -Controlled self-regulating Thermal Pants Developer... octa-core bluetooth-low energy tension measuring cloud-enabled pants, that would automatically post your inner state updates to the cloud... or a Coffee Machine that uses FitBit API to automatically start brewing coffee once you woke up and awake for more than two minutes... Were doomed.
