For 20 minutes today at 5 PM little Bras Dor was dead center of a weather event Ive never seen in CB. Jean and I were just about to go in for a swim and it started to rain. Next thing we know the wind goes from calm to 25kts S and hail the size of large grapes comes pelting down. We scrambled into the house with the dogs and watched in awe as the hail pounded the house filling the rain gutters in minutes and accumulating in corners of the patio up to a foot deep. The wind swing around through East to North in minutes and picked up quite a lot patio furniture and a very heavy table were blown about like paper. So much rain fell it filled our horses field feed trays to 2.5 inches and it was shooting UP about a foot from the weeping tiles and was 1.5 ft deep in some hollows on the property. 35 minutes after it began it was all over, flat clam cloudy with sunny patches. Truly now of the most bizarre weather pheromones we have witnessed. Btw my folks,just off, Shore rd in Sydney Mines had about 2 min of showers, Georges River and Groves Pt were hit as well but not as bad as us.
