I like this guy!! Spread the love...my thoughts exactly! There are a few causes that get a lot of $ and attention because of gimmicks like this. Not that its a bad thing, they are all worthy causes, BUT there are causes that dont get much..because people are reluctant to talk about them or they arent affected. Mental illness is one of the first that comes to mind because not only is this a disabling disease, but many of the people that suffer from it dont have insurance, cant get insurance, cant get or wont take treatment, may not have a place to live, and have a hard time finding help to get any assistance that is available to them. As the caregiver for a mentally ill family member I know a good deal about this..so, I am accepting his challenge-no ice bucket-and I am donating to MHMR. ( tcmhmrs.org) I also challenge everyone that is able to donate..to a cause of their choosing.
