I like to put perspective on the contributions of people. I - TopicsExpress

I like to put perspective on the contributions of people. I especially love to imagine their lives written as a story. The problem is you only get to gain the perspective of how the ups and downs all work in harmony when you reach the last chapter. In April of this year, Brennan Manning died and his story can now be told. His story is definitely filled with color, the ups and downs are so extreme that you have to believe he used his time on earth and sucked the marrow clean from the bone. Just shy of 22 years old, and after allready serving 2 years in the marines and a semester at college, Brennan entered seminary at St Francis college after he decided he needed something more in life. And thus began the adventure. Among some of the highlights include living in solitude for 6 months in a desert cave in Spain, he was in Alabama when hurrican Camille hit. He rebuilt a chapel there and began to work with shrimpers, getting them to come back to church. I sometimes worry how my story is fairing. When the last chapter of my life is told, will the bone be clean or will there be meat left on it. Opportunities I left unexperienced. p.s. Brennans life has many other adventures and he left the world with a bounty of insight.
