I liked Tom Lawson Jennings face (as therefore his status) so now I give nine facts about myself... 1. Most of my blood relatives on my mothers side live in North America, and apart from my uncle who lives with us and my half-brother I dont see much of my dads family, who are Northern Irish. 2. I was born in Wolverhampton, but we moved to Telford when my mum was pregnant with my little sister Lydia (who is a legend) and I am now back in that house after a few years on a student stint in Aberystwyth. Im now studying as a postgrad in Wolverhampton, so at the moment Im full-circling. 3. I am currently training for a career in education as an English teacher, but I try to keep up my creative writing work in hopes that I can become a professional writer, even if its only restricted to a part-time hobby. 4. Ive featured in about a dozen plays, about two-dozen musicals and a whole lot of other stage productions over the years. I started taking dance lessons when I was seven because I enjoyed the show which Lydia was in as a toddler, and Im an Advance 1-grade tap dancer. I gave up on Modern because I wasnt flexible enough and I never wanted to attempt ballet. I dont know what Zumba is. 5. Ive directed four shows (which count theres a few short projects and non-starters I dont really count) and I wish it was financially and logistically viable to do so more often. The one Im proudest of is One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest with the Nomads last winter. 6. My favourite book is Catch 22, my favourite book series is Harry Potter, my favourite play is Hamlet, my favourite live action film is Ed Wood, my favourite animated film is Up, my favourite live action comedy series is Father Ted, my favourite animated series is South Park, my favourite drama series is Game of Thrones, my favourite actor is Phillip Seymour Hoffman and my favourite film director is Stanley Kubrick. 7. I dont have favourites in terms of music, because my tastes are quite varied and change constantly, but I lean towards classic and alternative rock as genres. I am an avid user of Spotify and have found a lot of old and new music through it. I believe the greatest song of all time is September by Earth, Wind and Fire, and Im not sure if its a guilty pleasure or not. 8. I dont play many video games, but when I do its always Nintendo. I love Mario, Pokemon and Legend of Zelda. Ive never been able to get into violent realistic games like GTA. I like my games vibrant and fun. 9. My aspiration in life is to provoke thought and laughter in people, and to encourage critical thinking and free expression of beliefs. Im always keen for debate (sometimes too keen) and I have greater respect for those who discuss and inform than those who try to play peacemaker. Im an egalitarian, a libertarian and an atheist, but I also readily admit that I am still learning and still growing, and that I will never be a fraction as accomplished or knowledgeable as every human being deserves to be but doesnt get the time in their short life to become. I dont honestly see myself getting married or having children, at least not for a long time yet, but Id like to. My greatest flaw is not feeling I deserve what I want, but every day I try to convince myself to earn it. Like if you want a number (I promise to make it less than 9)
