I live in United State, and I love this country. but I am still a Cuban and my love for Cuba will never change, the action of President Obama reinforced my pride to be a US citizen because the generosity and the sincere offer to Cuba government for a new beginning in the diplomatic relation between the two countries. I have seeing the reaction of some Cubans and can help to think...are those people really love our island? or are just lock inside their hate and narrow view, because in case that you forgot those 11 or 12 millions of Cubans living in the island are our people too, and only because we disagree with their government we must not forget their needs and well being. Politics like Rubio, Iliana Ross, Balart, Menendez have based their whole political run in fighting any relation with Castros government, and for more than 50 years our birth island have being suffering economic isolation as result of it. but allow me to remain that people like those congressmen were responsible in the first place that Castro revolution occurred, because their blindness to the poverty of thousands of Cubans, to the crimes of Batistas police, to the abuse of those in power, etc. they are seating in their very comfortable offices in Washington, New Jersey and Miami without any regard for the people of Cuba. they call themselves Cubans, but they only used to gain votes to remain in power. I do not agree with the government of Cuba, but I do not live there, and when I visit my family I am not thinking in Castro, I am thinking in my people, my family, my friends, which are in need of our love and support. LOVE is the only solution to our problems as humanity, shame on those who put their own interest ahead of the welfare of the island of Cuba.
