I look at people around me. Human beings. And always have this - TopicsExpress

I look at people around me. Human beings. And always have this reminder that even with our intelligence, humans can rarely sacrifice their own indulgence for the sake of their long term health and benefit of future generations. As our medical skills progress, our genetic disabilities are overridden and then passed down rather than being eliminated through natural selection. As time moves on we as a species will become sicker and sicker and be more reliant on our man made mechanisms to not just survive but to just be efficient. All the way from the increase in need of glasses to the massive increase in obesity. Both of which in nature would be immediately eliminated. People at the age of 45 are needing back braces and medications. Just the horrible reminder that we are less and less fit for survival and are each becoming cancers to our own species that will eventually cause the end of us.
