Two Guam Army National Guard soldiers, Capt. Arnold Arizala and Sgt. Robert Bamba, were welcomed home tonight after months spent off island on deployments, according to the Guard. Arizala, of the 1990th Contingency Contracting Team, returned after more than 8 months in Afghanistan where he served as part of a highly specialized team tasked with handling all contracting actions in the Afghanistan area of operations, according to the Guard. Bamba came home for a visit for the first time since he left as a member of Task Force Guam’s Delta Company last year. Bamba is currently receiving medical care for injuries he received while deployed in Afghanistan. (Photos and information courtesy of Maj. Josephine Blas, public affairs officer.)
