I love James Taylor. He resets my bar. A singer/songwriter (dont care about hair), dazzling blue eyes, tall and lanky, a voice as lovely and gut-wrenching as it was 45 years ago. Warm, funny, accessible. He was right in front of us, four rows back. He played for 3 hours. I kept thinking, Why do I love musicians so much? I always have, I guess, always will. He has the middle-aged serenity that I crave in a man. A few photos might emerge later, if my loopy companions didnt delete them! Went with high school bud, Debbie Masinter, and the night ended with my arms around her and Kathy Giltinan, singing Youve Got a Friend. Then just big deep hugs. It was glorious. And all of this was a gift from my very dear friend, Nancy Bird. I love you, Thelma!
