I love doing what I do. but what I do is a tough job. it takes special skill. and Im blessed to be gifted with the art of cake decorating. but days like today really make me wonder and question if this is really what I want to do with the rest of my life. cakes are my life, but dealing with the people I have to deal with on a daily and weekly basis is just too much sometimes. people dont realize the time and patience it takes thats put into making and decorating a cake. its not a 5 minute process. it takes time. and sometimes you hit a bump in the road and you have to take a second to figure out another way to do what your original plan failed to get done. I try so hard to leave work at work but when its not just my job, its my hobby, it really makes it hard to just leave it inside the doors. I use to love going to work. now I dread even walking through the parking lot. really starting to think hard about keeping it a hobby instead of a job and looking into going back to school for something else. dont know how much more pressure I can take...
