I love football more than any other sport.. That being said... couple of random thoughts... 1. I remember watching HBOs Rome and then all episodes of Spartacus, they kept hammering home how -- during harsh times --the heads of government kept the impoverished, downtrodden citizens from revolting by presenting weekly showings of gladiators brutally beating and killing each other in stadiums. and it worked for a long time. 2. We all see whats happening to Wes Welker and so many great players before him as they try to deal with the constant barrage of concussions.... I see many, many more class-action lawsuits increasing-- eventually to the point where the game of football will change so drastically within our lifetime that it will be nowhere near what we see now on Sundays. I hate this thought, but I think the best advice I can give to my fellow football fans is this: Enjoy it while we got it -- and please dont kill the messenger here.This hurts me to even think about , let alone post.
