I love it when people tell me exactly what I need to hear, regardless of whether I realize the need for it or not. I am well aware that my ego is going to get hurt. But that, no matter how painful, is better than giving me praises upon praises that will eventually numb my heart and blind me of the things in myself that critically need mending. Whoever assists me in my relationship with Allah is my close friend. I dont care who that person is - whoever! Just smack the reality into my face and wake me up, before its too late. Sometimes, though its hard to admit, we need that, and we should be humble enough and strong enough to swallow the pill.
