I love me some Herb Kent, but I had to gag when Rahm Emanuel called in to WVON today wishing him a happy birthday, and Herb Kent said the Mayor was doing a great job. (Not an exact quote, but that was the feeling that was communicated from Mr. Kent.) Gone are the days of Lou Palmer, who called a spade a spade, and never let us forget the wrongs the political establishment did to our community. As a result, we held politicians accountable at the ballot box and elected Harold Washington.
