I love my garden and my interest has mainly been in growing flowers for the bees and butterflies. But having moved my shed, I now have a small space to start growing vegetables. Im quite excited, but this wont happen till next year. In the meantime, have a look at some of the things I grow. If you want to attract bees plant Lythrum salicaria (purple loosestrife). It is literally covered in bees the whole time it flowers, which it does for months. Ive had mine for 20+ years and its 2 metres tall and a metre wide! I also have one in my small pond. Its a wonderful plant! The first photo shows a peacock butterfly on my buddlea, probably hard to see in small photo, next the loosestrife growing against 6 foot fence and then daisies of course. Happy days :-)
