I love quilting and fellow quilters. I love seeing new quilters grow and I love learning new and different methods. What I dont love is how some people feel it necessary to be destructive with their comments or advice. We all know how long it takes to make a quilt and the love and sweat and tears we put into them. Why would any of us ever say something hurtful to our fellow quilters to diminish their work? You can completely destroy a new quilters joy and desire to grow and learn our craft with a few mean, thoughtless words. I challenge everyone in our craft to review your comments BEFORE posting and if theres anything other than HELPFUL words, delete them. Tell them I like the left or right one because the colors make it pop but DONT tell them Sorry, I think its ugly or stupid looking or completely wrong. No one needs to hear that. How is that helpful or constructive? For those of you who have been hurt by careless comments, please know that the majority of us quilters love our art and are very excited to have you join with us :) Ok. Im done and feel much better.
